shugi

Raised by her Swedish mother in Paris, Shugi has learned to fend for herself through music and dance. From grungy Marais discotheques to high-fashion events, she has perfected her craft over the years, culminating in a frisky stir of disco, techno, afro and vocal house.

No two sets are alike. From festivals, to clubs, to private events, her sound is always fine-tuned to the occasion. Some of her gigs include shows for brands like Chloé, Barbara Bui, LVMH, Jade Jagger Jewellery,  Leonor Greyl, Veuve Clicquot, Tinder, Sessun, Coca-Cola, Axel Arigato and Comme Des Garcons. She has also played at fairs such as La Fiac in Paris, Fashion week events in showrooms like Man/Woman Showrooms, Scandi Crush and countless underground parties.

Shugi also creates her own music. Most recently, she composed the soundtrack for Paulette Magazine’s fashion film ‘Long Long Summer’, directed by Clément Oberto. She is also the singer and songwriter for Their Names, an Electro-Pop duo with producer Max Future at the helm. Their first single and music video, ‘Burning Star’ by the acclaimed director Romain Laurent, was released in June 2017.
