Gilly, an artist, model and DJ, stands at the intersection of her Jamaican/Chinese cultural background and multi-city upbringing. Moving between New York, London, and San Francisco, her musical journey is a testament to the fusion of heritage.
Gilly’s early exposure to the late ’90s club scene, courtesy of her parents, served as the cornerstone for her musical evolution. Having resided in these different cities, her multifaceted background is reflected in her exploration of genres, including Soulhouse, Deep House, Harddrum, UK Garage, UK Funky, Jungle, Dancehall, Future Jazz and beyond. Her sets are a nuanced blend of nostalgia with a contemporary spin.
Her professional trajectory includes gigs at private events during New York Fashion Week, as well as New York venues such as Jupiter Disco, Black Flamingo, Public Hotel, Soho Grand, and Ludlow House.
